    http://studiobell.ca/event/air-workshop-quinsin-nachoff/ Composer and saxophonist Quinsin Nachoff will make a presentation about his time as Artist in Residence (AiR) at Studio Bell, home of the National Music Centre (NMC), working alongside recording engineer and audio guru David Travers-Smith. Nachoff will play selections from his latest record, Flux, and discuss some of his methods for composing while addressing the use, inspiration, and integration of NMC’s collection into new works. Pianist Mark Limacher will perform short selections from compositions developed during the AiR. Travers-Smith will discuss how he developed soundscapes to be integrated into the new works, using some of the rare pieces in NMC’s collection, along with a live demonstration on a Buchla synthesizer.
